ATLANTIC IMMIGRATION PILOT PROGRAM (AIPP)
It is designed to welcome additional newcomers to the Atlantic Canada region, to fill the needs of local employers and communities. The pilot helps employers in Atlantic Canada hire foreign skilled workers who want to immigrate to Atlantic Canada and international graduates who want to stay in Atlantic Canada after they graduate.
The Atlantic Provinces that fall under Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program are:
a)Nova Scotia
b)New Brunswick
c)Newfoundland and Labrador
d)Prince Edward Island
There are three programs to hire someone:
- Atlantic International Graduate Program
- Atlantic High-skilled Program
- Atlantic Intermediate-skilled Program
Each program has requirements that the employer and the applicant must meet. Before making a job offer, the employer must be designated by the provincial government of the Atlantic province where the applicant will be working.
